David McKirdy is a long-time Hong Kong resident and car mechanic who writes poetry, rides (and builds) motorcycles and plays the drums. He is a frequent reviewer of books and a key organiser of poetry events, including Outloud, and has encouraged many poets to read and perform their work for the first time.
